"We're proud to have improved our key carbon efficiency metrics year on year".

This Earth Day, Mobsta is sharing the latest highlights from the latest Greenhouse Gas Assessment (for FY2024), reinforcing commitment to more responsible growth across both its business operations and advertising value chain.

Independently prepared by ZeroBees, the assessment found that Mobsta’s total measured greenhouse gas emissions for FY2024 were 331 tCO2e across Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions. While absolute emissions increased alongside business activity and methodological refinement, Mobsta improved its key carbon efficiency metrics year on year. Revenue intensity fell to 22.5 tCO2e per £m, employee intensity fell to 7.5 tCO2e per FTE, and ad-serving intensity improved to 0.022 tCO2e per million impressions.

The findings show that while the business grew, emissions grew more slowly than revenue and headcount, improving the carbon efficiency of that growth. The report also highlights continued progress in digital advertising efficiency, with lower ad-serving emissions intensity than in both 2023 and 2022.

Matt Longley, CEO, commented: "We’re incredibly proud to have improved our key carbon efficiency metrics year on year. There’s a lot of work behind the scenes to make decisions that reflect our B Corp values, and while it’s not always easy, we believe it’s the right way to grow. For us, this is proof that with the right foundations in place, you can create progress that is good for business, good for clients, and good for people and planet too".

As a Certified B Corporation since 2022, Mobsta sees this work as part of a broader commitment to responsible business practice and better decision-making across the full media and operational value chain. The assessment also sets out clear priorities for further action, including deeper insight into spend-related emissions, reducing ad-distribution impact, more sustainable travel choices, and continued improvements in office and home-working emissions data.
